Pan Pizza Recipe

This is has to be the highest number of requests we’ve received for the recipe of this dish – Pan pizza. Again, no great photographs, home followed recipe, here we begin!

Make your own pizza at home. Minus an OTG, microwave. No yeast, and no frills!

Begin the recipe by kneading the dough.

I took 1 and a half cup of regular atta, one spoon of sugar, and salt, pinch of baking soda, 3-4 spoons of yogurt, and half spoon baking powder. Added in some oregano, chilli flakes, and rosemary. Use the yogurt water to knead the dough. Knead it soft, and cover the top with white oil or olive oil. Cover it and let it rest. i had a marathon office call going on, so mine rested for more than 2 hours. 30 mins is more than enough for the dough to be rested.

Next up, kneaded the dough once again, and made two huge dough balls out of it. Sprinkle some atta, and roll the dough ball. Take the pan, any non-stick kind. Place the round dough on it. Slowly, using your hand, expand the dough so that the base of the pan is fully covered with the dough spread.

Next, with fingers, create an outline, and using a fork make dents across the base. Sprinkle some olive oil all across the outline. For my pizza sauce, I used my leftover momo sauce which had tomatoes, red chilli and garlic, and salt! It worked well. You could use anything as your pizza sauce.

Add in paneer, corn, Amul cheese, oregano, rosemary, chilli flakes, onion, anything and everything you like. Next, cover the pan with a lid with no escape. The steam shouldn’t escape. If your lid has a hole, cover it with paper or a clove.

First 4-5 mins, cook it in high flame, then lower the gas to low, and cook it for 6-7 minutes. It depends on your dough thickness, pan size, gas type etc. The basic idea should be once the cheese is melted, and your base turns brown, your pizza is ready!

Dish it out, and ready to be devoured!

Similarly, I had some left over homemade boneless chicken kebabs, and used it on our pizza. Chicken corn variant is ready to be cooked, and served!

Disclaimer: This is the process we follow at home, and it turned out super successful! I am not a recipe blogger, neither so I claim this to be an authentic recipe.
